Purpose of a School
The purpose of a school is to provide a safe environment for children to learn. A safe classroom, clean facilities, responsible adults, qualified teachers, an appropriate play area outside, access to basic materials (paper, pencil...), and access to technology.
Purpose of a Teacher
The purpose of a teacher is to guide and encourage students to learn both academically and socially. The purpose of a teacher is to meet each child where they are at in their development. Then, support them with appropriate learning opportunities to grow and learn.
The teacher keeps in communication with parents about how their child is doing. The teacher is honest and kind about their progress and how to help them thrive in the environment they are in.
The teacher is also responsible for staying up to date with best practices while also finding what is appropriate for his/her classroom. Young children need the tools and opportunities to learn and explore.
The teacher finds what classroom management tools work for the kids in their classroom. Whether that be class dojo, stickers, fun activity rewards, and/or individual behavior charts if needed.
